Neighbors of Bristol Park,
It is finally spring! Or close enough, right? Thanks to all for maintaining their sidewalks during slick conditions. While we dodged major snowfall, we had some icy days that were treacherous. As we move into warmer weather, it’s time to start thinking about cleanup and projects.
To help out, we have scheduled our Spring Neighborhood Garage Sales for May 4 and 5th. The spring Dumpster Day has been scheduled for June 16th . These are great ways to clean out closets, basements, and garages while potentially making a little money. Dumpsters will be available on that date from 8:00 until noon or they are full. You may bring many household items to the dumpsters. We are not able to take, paint, chemicals, tires, large appliances, lawn clippings/yard waste, or televisions with picture tubes. Please do not dump beyond noon and do not overtop the dumpster. An email reminder will be sent before the date with additional details regarding items.
Another thing that homeowners need to be helpful with in the spring is maintenance of property. It’s always a great time to review the neighborhood covenant and bylaws to make sure that your home and yard will add to the neighborhood, rather than detract. Homes take a beating over the winter months and oftentimes need to be painted or touched up in the spring. Take a moment to look around the exterior of your home to make sure everything meets expectations. As a reminder, we do not travel the neighborhood looking for infractions. Most often, we receive emails or calls from concerned neighbors. Please try to speak to your neighbor before contacting the HOA. Oftentimes, a simple conversation can take care of an easy situation.
Make sure you have April 24th on your calendars for our annual meeting. We will meet at 6:30 pm at the Northland Mission Church, located in the neighborhood. As we continue to work on enhancing communication, this meeting provides a great opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of the community. We look forward to seeing longtime residents and our newest homeowners too.
Last, and certainly not least, as we near pool season, the board will be working on maintenance items for each pool. Please be patient, as we get ready, and wait for an email with instructions regarding lost or new pool keys, which should be sent in late April. Aside from the pool, we will continue working on our improvement of our landscaped areas as it gets warmer.
The Bristol Park Board thanks you for your continued support. Bristol Park is a fantastic community and will continue to be as long as we work together.
Thanks all, Brian Thackrah – Bristol Park Homes Association President
